I have an opportunity for an
Associate Director of HR to join my client on a fixed term contract for one year, with the potential for extension.

Attendance will be required on site in
Manchester 2 days p/week however this may vary from time to time.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as a Deputy for the CPO.
  • Oversight of the operational performance and support services that HR provide to the organisation. This will include accountability for the achievement of relevant key performance indicators.
  • Ensure that the client values are upheld and embedded in all our policies and processes.
  • Support the comprehensive business and Directorate plan.
  • Monitor and review services that HR offer with a lens of continuous improvement.
  • Lead on decisions involving complex situations. Able to exercise judgement after carefully reviewing the options and to identify appropriate actions and solutions, in line with good HR practice and procedure, employment law and any applicable client policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the business and key stakeholders to support and achieve transformation activities.
  • The post holder may be required to travel to meetings away from their usual office base which may include an overnight stay.***
    I would love to hear from you if you have experience in:
  • Educated to Masters level HRM or equivalent.
  • MCIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of recent CPD.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical and workable solutions.
  • Demonstrate a common sense approach when advising and influencing internal and external colleagues.
  • Able to develop and implement policy, guidelines and complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ability to build and sustain successful teams.
  • An experienced senior Manager with a track record in leading teams and managing complex change.
  • Relevant and practical experience of change management and continuous improvement and be able to influence a spectrum of stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Highly organised and able to project manage and develop robust delivery plans with clear outcomes, actions and accountabilities.
  • Able to create high quality written communications (up to Board level) that clearly and succinctly articulate key messages.
  • Financially fluent and experienced in managing budgets.***
