Choices International is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team for our exciting summer sports residential programme.

The role is based in London and the individual will be required to work on site.


The Coordinator of Activities (CoA) is responsible for the day to day running of the activity programme including sports, social activities, excursions and events.

Duties will involve managing the activity staff as well as management of the use of activities resources.

And a team leader you will oversee the duties of the activities team and take responsibility for the care, safety and wellbeing of the students at the campus, whilst maintaining school rules, policies and procedures.


The (CoA) will also be expected to have an awareness of all aspects of the management of the campus, safeguarding duties and be willing to address situations whenever they arise.


Main Duties will include:

Prepare the campus activities and social programmes prior to the start of the summer school. Liaising with the Managing Director to design an activities delivery plan


To organise and run variety and innovative weekly evening entertainment activity programme, appropriate to all age groups; to provide the Centre Manager with the activity schedule for each week.


To plan excursions (fun and cultural) that are appropriate to all age groups and to the geographical location of the centre.

To take responsibility for campus registers at the residence, activities and excursions.


To assign Activity Leaders appropriate duties to ensure the Activities programmes are delivered in an enjoyable, safe and professional manner.


To assist with off-site airport transfer duties, escorting arriving and departing students between major airport hubs and the campus site.


To assist with student check-in and check-out, including meeting parents and responsibility for collecting passports, travel documents and pocket money and keeping these safe for the duration of the student's stay.

Act as Choices International ́s assigned staff lead at West ham academy training grounds.

Leading transport supervision, overseeing staff & student conduct at the training sites and providing day-to-day reporting to the Centre Manager.

To assist the Centre Manager and Administration & Welfare Officer with any Risk Assessment needed for the programme.


Assisting in compiling documentation and procedures to comply with British Council standards at all times and inspections whenever this applies.

Assisting and complying with all the requirements established by the company and maintaining the high standards of the programme.

Essential Criteria:


  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Leadership experience in a residential summer school.
  • Experience of working in a British Council accredited centre
  • Good interpersonal and communicative skills.
  • A flexible, pragmatic approach.
  • Able to deal well with pressure.

Working hours:

The working day at Summer Camps will vary depending on the schedule of activities on a daily basis. You will work according to a rota prepared by yourself in consultation with the Centre Manager.

You are entitled to one day off per week although you are encouraged to be on site at night.

Time off during the day will be at your discretion but you will remain on call 24 hours a day in case of an emergency.

It is mandatory to be contactable on the mobile phone supplied by the organisation at all times including the day off if and when necessary.

You will be contracted to 40 hrs a week £500 per week.

Your line manager is the Centre Manager.
