The Vodafone Business Marketing team sit within the wider Vodafone Business UK Commercial Marketing team and are responsible for all marketing, brand and comms, internally and externally.

As well as driving key metrics such as awareness, consideration, perception, performance and lead generation. The team cover all sales channels including direct and indirect routes to market.


In a fast-paced environment with a challenger mind-set, you will be joining a team of marketing professionals focusing on different areas of business, but all with the same drive to create best in class results to maintain existing customers and attract new customers.

You will be responsible for setting the strategy of the Sponsorship and Events portfolio through strategic sponsorship and tactical hospitality event delivery, to provide sales teams a platform to build stronger customer and partner relationships, build loyalty and advocacy, improving NPS, support revenue growth, and increasing brand awareness and consideration.

You will manage the sponsorship and events budget. Experience of managing Rugby events and/or sponsorships is essential.


In addition, the role will lead a team of multiple direct reports and third parties who support across the channels and will require clear leadership to deliver the agreed strategy.

A unique role with a variety of deliverables that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and time management to manage multiple campaign and events simultaneously.


What will you be doing?

  • Creation and delivery of the annual sponsorship and events strategy, plus regional hospitality strategy
  • Planning, activation and delivery of key Vodafone Business UK sponsorship and hospitality activities and events
  • Accountability for marketing across the pillars of sponsorship, activation, events, and customer experience.
  • Ownership of full Vodafone Business Event Calendar across all Business segments
  • Setting key objectives and continually measuring results to drive ROI
  • Managing key relationships and collaboration with the wider commercial team. Including the Propositions, Sales, Segments, Digital, Brand, Insights & Product leads to ensure alignment and execution of the new strategy
  • Management of the sponsorship and events budget
  • Managing senior stakeholder relationships across the Business Leadership team
  • Leading a team of multiple reports and managing their personal development

Who are we looking for?

  • B2B marketing understanding and experience
  • Experience of running events (both live and digital), hospitality and sponsorship activation. Experience in Rugby events/sponsorships is essential.
  • Budget management
  • Experience of working crossfunctionally and leading a team
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders, partners and agencies
  • Challenger mindset, with an attitude to drive change and deliver new innovative ideas
  • Competent in performance measurement and reporting against commercial and customer KPIs including competitor analysis
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects often under tight deadlines and manage a full team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Telco sector knowledge and experience
  • Understanding of Vodafone Product Portfolio and competitive position
