What you will be doing?
Digital Risk Coordinators who directly manage risks specific to their areas

Risk Champions across the business - sharing best practice, advice and support


TW Enterprise Risk Team for strategic direction and guidance in management of Risk, Controls and Assurance for compliance to TW frameworks.


Co-ordinating internal and external audit activities: ensuring that required data is provided, facilitating the provision of appropriate responses, and development of appropriate action plans.


Working with the senior Digital Transformation team to compile the annual Controls Self-Assessment return to the Enterprise Controls & Assurance team and following up on any actions required to increase maturity.

Maintaining related process, standard and policy documents, Maintaining relationships with the Risk Champion community across the business


What will this role involve?


This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience managing a wide range of risk-related activities, in an innovative, evolving, and exciting Digital environment.

Managing a number of stakeholders at different levels in the organisation you will utilise a variety of skills to successfully reduce the level of risk across the Digital organisation.


We're looking for you to:


  • Ensuring that risks are proactively identified and assessed, and that robust controls and action plans are in place to mitigate individual risks and improve the overall Digital risk profile.
  • Educating and coaching colleagues on risk management best practice; ensuring effective communication and training on risk policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that risk coordinators provide qualitative, regular updates to their risks, actions and controls.
  • Leading regular risk forums: reviews, overviews, and workshops.
  • Providing and presenting required reporting to agreed standards and timelines.
  • Maintaining an effective working relationship with the Enterprise Risk Team (ERT) and ensuring that their requirements are met in terms of policies, reporting and improvement initiatives.
  • Identifying emerging risks through assimilation of information from external sources and the use of emerging risk tools.
  • Continually working to improve the way Digital identifies and manages risks, both reactively and proactively, through risk identification initiatives, such as risk maturity assessments.
  • Work with Digital colleagues to provide assurance on Ring Fence Certification activities.
  • Giving Risk Coordinators guidance on the required regularity and quality of updates, to facilitate effective reporting
  • Digital Transformation and Enterprise Risk/Audit/Assurance regular reporting requirements for audit and risk met, with the required level of quality and to the defined schedules.
  • Demonstrating effective ongoing engagement with the ERT, attendance at regular meetings and forums, and adherence to policies, frameworks, etc. as well as cooperation with any Enterprise improvement initiatives.
  • Utilization of the Digital Transformation Emerging Risk process to identify changes that may result in new risks to Digital e.g. political, regulatory, statutory, and legal policies (PESTLE).
  • Annual Controls Self-Assessment meetings are arranged with the DT Leadership Team for completion of the maturity assessment. Ensuring the submission is completed and approved by the relevant LT members and submitted to the Controls and Assurance Team to schedule. Any areas of low maturity to be highlighted to the DTLT for action. Monitoring of those actions.

Essential Experience and skills

  • 2 years+ of risk management experience in a technology environment.
  • Experience working in or alongside a Digital operational environment.
  • Practiced stakeholder engagement and management at all levels, including senior levels and external organizations and partners.
  • Strong planning, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Welldeveloped people management skills: the ability to listen, influence and be pragmatic, while challenging effectively when necessary.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • A recognized Risk qualification such as MoR or IRM would be an added advantage.
  • ITIL qualifications would also be an added advantage.
