PURCHASING MANAGER (FOOD CATEGORY) OPPORTUNITY WITH A RECOGNISED HOSPITALITY BRAND
Are you an experienced Purchasing Manager who is skilled at managing the commercial relationship and supply arrangements with food suppliers?

My client currently has an opening for the exciting hybrid position of Purchasing Manager, where you will be well rewarded with an attractive remuneration package working with a company whose rich history spans 30 years of operation across various locationsin the UK and Ireland?


Main responsibilities:


  • Managing the commercial relationship and supply arrangements with food suppliers
  • Sourcing and benchmarking suppliers, products and pricing
  • Identifying improved purchasing opportunities across a range of products and suppliers
  • Implementing servicelevel agreements and contractual agreements with all suppliers
  • Monitoring and managing supplychain risk, price volatility and suppliers' performance, in accordance with agreed contracts, servicelevel agreements and KPIs
  • Providing telephone support to pubs' teams
  • Reviewing and challenging current processes, looking for business improvements
  • Attending and presenting at meetings; preparing and presenting reports and other information

Skills and experience:


  • Ideally a purchasing or other businessbased degree or MCIPS qualified
  • Previous purchasing experience from the food and drinks sector
  • Experience of managing complicated multifaceted negotiations to a successful conclusion
  • Strong commercial skills and financial awareness, with the ability to build persuasive business cases
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced negotiation styles and techniques in a way which maximises commercial results
  • Powerful communications skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all business levels and across suppliers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Flexible, with the ability to perform in a fastmoving, constantly changing environment
