We are currently looking for a
Management Accountant, within our dynamic and supportive Finance team, on a
Permanent Contract.
The Management Accountant will maintain accurate and appropriate finance records, such are required to meet the requirements on the contracts or grants through which work is funded, in addition to the requirements to meet the strategic and charitable objectivesof the organisation.
The post holder with prepare periodic financial statements, including but not limited to, profit and loss accounts, costing models for bids and grants, cash-flows, data analysis and commentaries.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure Migrant Help policies and operating procedures are followed
- Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
- Measuring the company's financial performance based on financial records
- Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to senior Finance Management
- Training and guidance for Assistant Management Accountant
- Support longer term business planning through reporting and analysis
- Communicating and interpreting financial information to nonfinancial managers
- Assisting the Finance Manager with valuating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed
- Ensure all staff development requirements are met within agreed time scales, through the Staff Supervision and Appraisal (SAA)
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Experience and Skills:
- ?Excellent interpersonal skills/ability to communicate with diverse groups
- Experience working in accounting, producing management accounts, costing analysis and reports for Senior Managers
- Experience of working with stakeholders at all levels
- Exceptional IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Experience in using financial software
- Impeccable time management and organisation skills
