Salary £26,000 - £29,000
Hybrid Hampshire location
Broster Buchanan is partnered with an organisation that is looking for an IT and Digital Support Assistant.

The IT and Digital Support Assistant is responsible for tasks including the effective lifecycle management of all hardware and software assets, fromacquisition through to final disposition, ensuring all live assets are fit for purpose and effective throughout the organisation.

The position undertakes a key role in assisting the IT and Digital Services Operations Manager in a variety of IT and Digital related duties, including understanding the asset needs of individual services and ensuring accurate asset and contractual informationis effectively maintained.

In addition, the IT and Digital Support Assistant contributes to the design, development, and implementation of the organisation's IT and Digital Asset Management Strategy.

Your role

  • To assemble, maintain and monitor all hardware and software assets within a central asset resister, including the number of assets and officer ownership.
  • Identify underused/overused software licenses
  • To provide support on hardware warranty matters.
  • Identify the cost of maintaining an IT asset and identifying replacements
  • To track IT asset use and lifecycles
  • To prepare rolling replacements programme and associated business cases/bids
  • Coordination of software licenses allocations and renewals
  • To provide support and input into asset contracts and renewals
  • To provide asset governance, processes, and reporting
  • To issue regular software and hardware asset updates
  • To work effectively with other stakeholders.
  • To assist with any other duties that may be deemed appropriate for this position.
  • To undertake any other duties as required, which are commensurate with the level and nature of the post. It is the nature of the work that responsibilities can be varied and therefore staff are expected to work flexibly as required in order to meet the needsof the function.
Your experience

  • Professional qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience gained within an IT or Digital position.
  • Understanding of IT asset lifecycle management.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and supplier contracts.
  • Excellent numerical, research and analytical skills.
  • Experience of working confidently and collaboratively with a varied range of stakeholders.
