Overall the role holder will work as part of an extended team in place to support the SCC business around strategic software vendors with a key focus on Microsoft.

This will involve using both product and commercial knowledge to create customer facing quotationsand working with key departments to ensure smooth processing of customer orders.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Position yourself as Specialist resource on Microsoft software and any other software vendors as relevant, and proactively update and maintain knowledge on a regular basis
  • Assist with qualification of requests by speaking to customer as necessary in order to understand requirements or support the specialist sales team in this activity
  • Ensure that pricing submitted contains most appropriate pricing structures /banding at a customer level
  • Create customer facing quotations in appropriate format with any associated documentation as necessary
  • Assist with quotation queries as required
  • Be available to attend conference calls if relevant in order to assist in the quotation process
  • Undergo appropriate training and obtain associated accreditations where relevant
  • Provide central point of contact for the Operations team for order requirements
  • Maintain communication with the sales teams and vendors throughout the sales cycle to ensure best possible engagement
  • Assistance with pipeline management as required
  • Assistance with/management of any specific vendor processes at both quote and order stage.
  • Ensure appropriate training is undertaken
  • Ensure department complies with all company policies and procedures
  • Be responsible for delivering excellent standards in customer service

Key Skills & Experiences:


  • Experience within the IT industry and good understanding of software in general
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft s/w portfolio
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong commercial skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
