The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) is seeking a highly skilled and talented legal counsel to provide expertise and strategic legal support on a variety of legal affairs and business cases.

This is a standalone role reporting intothe Global Head of Finance & HR.

We are open to applicants looking for either 3 or 4 days per week, part-time contracts.

Based in the City of London and remotely


Role type:
Part-time 3/4 days a week


Salary:
£53k pa - £58k pa depending on experience, Full time equivalent(Salary will be pro rata depending on no. of days worked)


Legal Counsel Duties:


  • Drafting and negotiating contracts/MOUs/NDAs with key external parties including suppliers and client/business partners.
  • Own contracts database and ensure this is maintained across the organisation
  • Actively reviewing and regularising contracts in line with updated GDPR compliance and data protection legislation
  • Advising on trademark infringement cases
  • Assist with legal entity compliance in the UK and internationally
  • Advising on brand protection and enforcement
  • Support and advise the Disciplinary Committee
  • Providing legal support for miscellaneous matters including HR matters, leases, data processing agreements
  • Provide general advice and guidance on disputes and complaints

Legal Counsel Requirements:


  • Experience of managing multiple matters at a time, including complex transactions, and proactively engaging with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously (with mínimal supervision), and yet work collaboratively with other employees, with judgement to escalate issues where appropriate
  • Time management skills with ability to manage multiple transactions and stakeholders
