Due to our continued growth, we are recruiting an experienced People Advisor based in Aberdeen, UK to expand our HR/People team. This role will work in partnership with managers and colleagues globally to provide guidance and advice on all people aspects ensuring cases are managed in a robust and fair manner, championing people policies, processes, and tools.


This is a global role and there may be occasions where you will be required to work outside of the UK core hours, therefore flexibility is necessary.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide professional advice, guidance and support to management and employees in all People aspects, from onboarding to end of employment including end to end management of employment relation cases adhering to employment laws of the respective country and business requirements
  • Management of Company's Group Benefits schemes for all business entities
  • Champion and ensure appraisal and succession planning tools are fully utilised to ensure the business has the capacity and talent to achieve immediate and strategic ambitions
  • Coaching and mentoring managers, where appropriate, in best practices
  • Support management when embedding organisational design, ensuring the Company has a robust business structure that maximises competitive edge in response to market conditions.
  • Ensure employee reward programmes are fully supported and delivered
  • Promote employee engagement by supporting and leading initiatives that are identified as part of annual employee surveys and focussing on improvements identified and required actions
  • Support the business to provide advice, guidance and management of visa requirements and sponsorship licenses
  • Support the Head of People to keep all People policies and processes up to date in accordance with employment laws of the respective country and fit for purpose, minimising waste and where possible adopting a uniformed approach across the regions
  • Be an active member within the People team by proactively participating within the role's areas of responsibility while also communicating and keeping other members of the HR team appraised of issues and progress
  • Actively promote company values and positive culture while leading by example
  • Provide support and ongoing guidance and advice to other team members as appropriate, including interaction, training, advice, mentoring and coaching of employees in the HR team to increase individual and team effectiveness
  • Encourage continuous improvement and innovative approaches across the business, suggesting ideas to enhance the team's deliverables.

Experience and Qualifications:


  • Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or equivalent, in a related field
  • CIPD Qualified and Chartered Member status of CIPD
  • Solid previous experience in HR/People Advisor or Business Partner roles on an international level
  • Solid knowledge and expertise of UK employment law and employee relations, desirable to also have knowledge of Texas and Singapore employment law.
  • Desirable to have an understanding of the subsea survey/construction industry and its associated technical disciplines
  • Previous experience of HR/People role in the Oil and Gas/Energy industry
  • Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
