Full time/37 hrs a week/permanent

Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role provides you with hybrid working, with an average of 2-3 days a week in the office as required.

Play a pivotal role in supporting our Communications


You will play a vital role supporting our Communications Leadership team and act as the glue to the wider community.

As a Team Administrator, you'll work closely with the senior managerial colleagues leading on administrative support, both on a one-to-one, and wider support basis.

Working in partnership, together with the Head of leads, you'll provide the all-important organisation and administrative skills to enable them to deliver their role requirements.


You will be curious to learn more and quickly build your knowledge of Anglian Water, to offer guidance, suggestions and solutions to queries that are shared with you.

You'll build relationships across the community and wider business to know who to ask and who to go to offer the necessary support to the team.

By asking questions, seeking out information and building a network, you'll know who key stakeholders are, both external and internal, and understand our organisation's purpose and goal.


What you'll be doing:


The role will include a variety of responsibilities ranging from project management, desk research to diary management, financial governance and health and safety administration.


The foundation of administrative support for the team will include proactive diary management of a selection of busy diaries, arranging meetings and appointments, to setting and circulating meeting agendas.


You will be a trusted individual within the team, maintain confidentiality, you'll be communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and making confident decisions in the absence of the team.


Your exceptional organisational and time-management skills will help build effective internal and external networks and be key in helping our Communications Community deliver our Anglian Water purpose for our customers.

What does it take to be successful?

  • Previous background in a similar secretarial or administrative position, with experience providing administrative support to a Senior Leader or Manager.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in IT and good knowledge of Microsoft Office; including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Capable of working in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at a range of levels.
  • Experience in diary management
  • Demonstrate confidentiality and trust.
  • Experience of working within a Media, Marketing or Branding environment would be an advantage.
