London up to £90,000 and National up to £80,000 per annum
Are you enthusiastic about payments and keen to be involved in designing and implementing the open banking regime for the future?
The role sits within the Payments & Digital Assets Policy Department, within a team dedicated to open banking and will be hugely important to the development of open banking within the UK.
What you will be doing
This role will give you the opportunity to provide technical input to drive forward lasting and impactful to the UK open banking ecosystem.
The role includes:
- Providing technical advice on policy projects, working with others to develop appropriate solutions to complex and technical issues
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting a high performing team through assisting with specific policy issues, supporting colleagues through training, both formal and informal, coaching and mentoring.

The skills and experience you will haveMinimum
- Experience of a legal, compliance or regulatory function at a regulated financial service provider, regulatory consultancy service or policymaking in government
- Experience of either the payments or open banking sectors
- An ability to consider complex information and relevant data and to drive the development and delivery of policy
- Excellent collaboration skills needed to work with other areas and organisations
- Excellent organisational skills with a capability to manage a variety of priorities and issues
- High standard of problem solving and strategic thinking with sound judgement.
- A selfsustaining thinker with an inquisitive mindset and a riskbased approach to making judgements
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a clear ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Able to prepare and deliver complex, strategic written technical communications and deliver sensitive messages
- Willingness to learn and develop, taking on new responsibilities and adopting a flexible and pragmatic approach to your work

The assessment process consists of an initial screening call with our sourcer. If successful, you will be invited to attend a first stage competency-based interview. The final stage will include a psychometric assessment, followed by a second and final interview.
