£30,000 - £31,000 circa negotiable depending on experience, quarterly BONUS, Sheffield, Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm, Free car parking, 28 days holiday increasing alongside length of service, permanent contract, private healthcare, private pension scheme.

We have a full time permanent position available for a worldwide steel manufacturing company whom are recruiting for a Raw Materials Supervisor.

This role is located within 20 minutes of the city centre and is easily accessible by public transport.

Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Raw Materials Supervisor will be managing a small team of around three raw materials coordinators with day to day duties including:
Responsible for the safety of employees, including ensuring all company policies including those relating to H and S are adhered to including correct use of PPE
Generate raw material plans for the melting processes within the plant
Liaise with contractors
Attending site meetings
Ensure production needs are met with the available resources
Coordinating deliveries
Checking documentation
Updating basic IT systems
Monitoring staff performance, motivating and managing performance using the appropriate policies and procedures
Delivery of objectives within KPI's

Proactive management of key relationships within the department and also the wider needs of the business unit.
Looking after stock integrity, making sure all transactions are actioned in a timely manner and material issues investigated

You will ideally have FLT experience with experience of moving heavy loads. In addition to this you will ideally;
Strong IT skills including Word and Excel
Ability to carry out data analysis
Strong communication skills
People management skills
Experience of managing within a raw materials / goods in environment

This role would suit someone who has worked as a Raw Materials Planner, Scrap Metal / Scrap yard Coordinator, Raw Materials Coordinator or Goods in coordinator within a scrap metal yard, metal recycling plant, melting, castings, engineering, manufacturing or goods in department.
