About The Role:


As a Void Coordinator your role is to provide support to the Voids Surveyor in managing the maintenance and repair across empty properties.

You will work closely with our direct repairs team and sub-contractors to ensure repairs are completed against the agreed standard, delivered within target times to maximise use of stock and rental income for the organisation.

You will be responsible for compiling the 'void pack' ready for handover to Housing Management.

This position will also require you to support the Voids Surveyor to prepare and circulate regular progress reports on the management of void properties.


You will be the point of contact to receive our resident satisfaction feedback on the void repairs service, working with the Voids Surveyor and Housing colleagues to ensure we respond and address feedback in a timely manner.

You will support the Voids Surveyor with processing of invoices and payments to suppliers and contractors. You will also support in other areas of the repairs service should the need to arise.


About you:

You will be proficient in Microsoft Office Packages (Work & Excel).

You will have experience of raising, planning and overseeing repair works as well as ensuring all compliance certificates are received in advance of letting.

You will have experience of resolving issues with gas & electric meters to ensure voids are returned within target. A knowledge and understanding of legionella and asbestos is also required for this position.


You will need to be able to work within a team and on your own initiative to meet departmental targets.

You will also be a strong communicator both verbally and in writing.

You'll need a full UK driving licence and the use of a roadworthy car insured for business use.


The successful applicant will require a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is considered satisfactory to Housing Solutions.
