Security Officer

JOB SPECIFICATION

Reports to:
Regional Support Manager

Contract: 48 hours (option for additional ad hoc shifts)

Based:
Halifax

Salary:
£ 10.42 per hour

Shift patterns:

4 on 4 off from 08:00 - 20:00 and 20:00-08:00

12 hours days and nights shifts available

SIA licence essential

Door Supervisor preferable

ABOUT THE ROLE
What you'll be doing

Half Hourly patrols of the site using the tag system in operation
Be a visible presence across the site and to tenants
Compile incident reports to submit where necessary
Alert the Authority's security team on any security or health and safety issues identified on patrol
Provide an efficient and effective response to fire/intruder alarm activations at all sites, where the Security Team provide security services 24/7/36
Carry out foot patrols across the Authority sites/buildings and where appropriate, checking for insecurities and removing trespassers.

WHO YOU ARE
You will have a can-do attitude and be able to hold a strong visible presence.

You will be an excellent communicator at all levels and can form strong relationships with the community, other local services and your team alike.

Problem-solving will be paramount in this role so you will use gathered intelligence and evidence to help counteract local problems, change behaviours, and achieve a safer cleaner community.

You will be passionate about safety and be an approachable pillar of the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Duties:

Ensure the safety and security of all on the compound 24 hours a day
Provide advice and guidance for approve visitors
Provide basic First Aid if required
Monitor the secure compound CCTV systems
Monitor and respond to all alarms, intruder, fire, elevator, and assistance alarms
Provide a visible reassuring presence
Providing key holding service to the onsite tenants
