About the Role:


SSP is a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, with c.42,000 colleagues in over 600 locations across 37 countries.

About the Role:


Working within the Purchasing & Supply chain team to help create, monitor and report on product forecasting to support the business manage day to day product supply, new product promotions & range changes, whilst minimising waste by effective stock clearance planning.

key aspect of this role is for effective product planning to ensure product availability, through the correct supply route at all times.


What you'll be doing:


  • Develop accurate demand forecasts using statistical, analytical, and historical data.
  • Create product trend analysis using historical demand trends and other driving factors such as seasonality and location.
  • Working and collaborating with cross functional teams to understand product requirements, to successfully plan new product promotions/LTO's/product range changes including stock clearance planning.
  • Stock Management.
  • Monitor forecast vs sales/order intake, to create and maintain forecast accuracy reports.
  • Endeavour to ensure products are available through the most appropriate route to market and create detailed compliance reporting.
  • Liaise with Suppliers to ensure accurate data gathered to be able to report on KPI/service levels.
  • Liaise with Operational teams to understand stock level issues.
  • Proactively manage supply issues to support the wider team.
  • Actively communicate and contribute to the wider team ensuring all stakeholders are aware and always informed.
  • Essential:

To be successful in the role you will need:

  • Min 2-3 years previous experience of working in a supply chain role
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Pivots Tables etc)
  • Food background
  • Excellent communication skills both written & oral.
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Well organised and logical thinker
  • Team Player
  • Desirable:
  • SAP knowledge
