Reporting into the Head of Marketing and Business Events and Associate Director of Digital Growth Marketing, with management of the wider marketing operations functions, the Marketing Operations Manager will have a wide range of duties and responsibility.

The role will play a key part in both the online acquisition growth plans and client retention and engagement touchpoint plans, covering all business functions across the group, A key element of the role will be the management and control of our automationsystem, Marketo which supports all prospect activity, website forms and is an integral piece of software to all client
- facing communications and platforms.


Day to Day Responsibilities as aMarketing Operations Manager:

  • Management of the automation, content and brand marketing teams.
  • Oversee all marketing project and campaign planning, the role will assist with delivering planning, governance and support functions to allow core marketing functions to focus on delivering value.
  • Oversee and help manage all prospect activity and communications. Working collaboratively with other departments to ensure automated campaigns achieve company goals.
  • Oversee and help manage all client communications and projects, providing ad hoc support to Ireland as required.
  • Management of the central automation team in Manchester, which involves being the expert and 'go to' for all Group automation requests and troubleshooting.
  • Point of contact for the automation team when liaising and managing campaigns with the Salesforce and Business Intelligence teams, helping to integrate campaign activity with our CRM (Salesforce) to improve quality of information for our sales team.
  • Main point of contact with the events department, ensuring marketing efforts are optimised to support the digital event journey, of which automation plays a crucial role.
  • Use project management software to manage the workload of the Marketing Operations Team.
  • Assist with management and monitoring of multiple nurture programs, conducting regular reviews and analysis to help ensure leads progress through the sales funnel. Ensure the team implement A/B testing campaigns to identify the best performing setups.
  • Ensure management of Marketo database for both prospect and client data is maintained, and segmented in line with business requirements and marketing activity.
  • Collaboratively consult with the wider digital marketing functions to support strategic and tactical campaigns while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of automation processes, programs and infrastructure for both prospects and clients.
  • This role will collaborate with the necessary teams to implement, and measure campaign lifecycles through acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Monitor, manage, and optimise campaigns and campaign assets to improve ROI, using Marketo's analytics suite to report on the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
  • Help drive ideas to implement new product features to enhance Marketo's functionality.

Mandatory Skills

  • Experience with Marketing Automation software (preferably Marketo)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical and detail orientated
  • Strong management skills. At least 2 years' experience in a direct line management role.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in a B2B marketing role
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce)
