Your dream role:


  • We need a Commodity Buyer to join our exceptional Procurement team to cover maternity leave on a 1 year fixed term contract, with an anticipated start date of February 202
  • Simply put, you will find and motivate the best suppliers in the world to partner with us.
  • Be responsible for overall ownership of a predetermined set of commodities, cost reduction projects, and supplier performance management.
  • Build strong, strategic partnerships with our suppliers to ensure the most costeffective solution without compromising on quality.
  • Identify value improvement opportunities and deliver target cost reductions.
  • Use your solid commercial acumen to negotiate commercial and contractual terms with our suppliers.
  • Create commodity strategies in line with business objectives.
  • Ensure effective management of key supplier performance through scorecards.
  • Opportunities like this don't come along often you will have exposure to a wide range of senior stakeholders globally.

What you will bring:


  • A Procurement expert with thorough knowledge of all aspects of commodity management including sourcing, commercial negotiation, supplier management and global sourcing.
  • Experience in a similar role within a similarly complex and challenging business.
  • Solid commercial and business acumen as you will regularly negotiate with our suppliers.
  • Relationship building will come easily to you across all levels of seniority, internally and externally.
  • You won't be afraid to challenge the status quo, constantly striving to improve the way we do things.
  • Things can be hectic here. You will remain calm under pressure, be able to multitask and deliver projects on time.
  • Generally, someone who is approachable, with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
  • Ideally, you will be a degreequalified in an Engineering or Business discipline.
  • Even better if you are CIPS Qualified.
  • You will be a selfstarter who can work both from the office and home (hybrid working)
