Interior Design Startup Operations Executive (Full time role)

Salary:
£22,000 to £25,000 pa (experience dependent)

About the role
We are currently seeking an executive assistant to provide comprehensive support to the founder of our small start-up.

This multifaceted role entails managing day-to-day administrative affairs, crafting compelling content for website and newsletter, overseeing sales and marketing initiatives, and handling the intricacies of social media management.

This presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who excels in dynamic environments, all with the primary objective of optimizing our founder's time.


Daily responsibilities encompass the creation of outstanding written content, meticulous management of our CMS, serving as our primary copy editor, generating presentations, and assuming responsibility for all aspects of organic social media management.

This role not only offers exposure to the intricacies of building a new business but also promises a rich learning experience, with advancement opportunities contingent upon demonstrated capabilities.

DESIGNEERS is a digital destination we launched 2 years ago where one can discover international interior designers and collectible design from both established and emerging designers, makers, and craftsmen.

DESIGNEERS was conceived from a relentless curiosity about different cultures, people and their stories, so beyond serving as a portal to a visual world of interior design, we take great pride in unearthing stories from distinctive and global interior design talent.


Key responsibilities

  • Create content and run interviews with interior designers, artists and artisans as directed, to create high quality content for our platform
  • Manage our social media channels, including creating content for Instagram posts, increase organic engagement and grow our following
  • Manage our CMS, upload and format all blogs, articles and other content across our websites and social media presence
  • Keep uptodate with the interior design to create thought provoking articles and blog posts highlighting industry trends and challenges
  • Be a champion for the brand tone and voice and take the lead on keeping all messaging consistent across all external pages and channels.

Qualifications Required

  • Strong aesthetic eye and a keen interest in the interior design world is a must
  • Good understanding of marketing and advertising industry, brand and product development and a general interest in business
  • Highly organized and detailoriented with a proven ability to manage multiple administrative tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and can do attitude
  • High data literacy, a logical approach and excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Extraordinarily good communication skills and flawless written English

Expected hours of work:
Full time or Part Time, Monday to Friday


Work environment and travel:
We're a hybrid business, valuing a combination of co-located and remote work. In the first few weeks, to help you settle in, we'll work to a higher intensity of co-located work. However, once settled in you'll be able to set your own hybrid patterns.


Key skills and experience

  • 12 years' experience working with marketing and advertising content
  • University degree in a relevant field or equivalent
  • Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail are essential
  • Someone with a true passion for content creation
  • Proven experience in successfully managing and growing a B2B blog
  • Experience managing a CMS (e.g. Monday) using PowerPoint, Canva, SquareSpace or equivalent content creation software
  • Social media content and management experience (Instagram, Pinterest)
  • Previous experience defining tone and voice for a brand or product
