We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled CNC Programmer to join a newly formed machinery team.

As a CNC Programmer, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process by programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality components according to precise specifications.

The business have recently invested in a new Hass CNC Machine as they are looking to bring their machining all in house, this could be a great opportunity if you are looking for further growth


Responsibilities:


  • Create and optimize CNC programs for a variety of machining operations, including milling, turning, and drilling.
  • Set up CNC machines and select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Conduct trial runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine operation and achieve desired results.
  • Monitor and maintain machine performance, including troubleshooting and resolving programming or tooling issues.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Continuously improve machining processes and identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in CNC programming languages, such as Gcode and Mcode.
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and machine setup procedures.
  • Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software for program development (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam).
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot programming and machining issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
