We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled CNC Programmer to join a newly formed machinery team.
As a CNC Programmer, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process by programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality components according to precise specifications.
The business have recently invested in a new Hass CNC Machine as they are looking to bring their machining all in house, this could be a great opportunity if you are looking for further growthResponsibilities:
- Create and optimize CNC programs for a variety of machining operations, including milling, turning, and drilling.
- Set up CNC machines and select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Conduct trial runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine operation and achieve desired results.
- Monitor and maintain machine performance, including troubleshooting and resolving programming or tooling issues.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Continuously improve machining processes and identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in CNC programming languages, such as Gcode and Mcode.
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and machine setup procedures.
- Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software for program development (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam).
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot programming and machining issues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
