2nd / 3rd IT Support Engineer

Hybrid Working - Remote working 2 Days / Chertsey, Surrey HQ Based Plus Field Client Site Work 3 Days

£30,000 - £50,000 + Base Salary + Overtime + Bonus (£30,000 - £40,000 for Tier 2, £40,000 - £50,000 for Tier 3)

The 2nd / 3rd IT Support Engineer Role:
It will also be your function to assist the junior team with mentoring on both technical and process matters.


About You:


  • Experience in a similar IT Support or IT Consulting role
  • 2nd line - Experience of some or all: Microsoft Windows Desktop / Server Operating Systems, MS Office Suite , Exchange, Skype for Business, Teams Telephony, Active Directory, Firewalls (Palo Alto), Citrix XenApp, Microsoft 365, VMWare, vSphere, Hyper-V,SAN, Zerto, Citrix, SQL Server, Aruba/Extreme Wireless, PRTG network monitoring
  • Virtualisation practices from a build, install, configure level through to standard support
  • A good grasp of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting
  • The ability to install and decommission a range of hardware Including laptops, printers, PCs, monitors, servers and racks
  • 3rd line - Backup Product Sets such as Veeam and Asigra. Leading migration projects
  • Great communication skills (in person and via telephone), excellent written and spoken English is essential
  • Personable, with the ability to build rapport with team of IT technicians, colleagues & client IT departments
  • Must be capable of learning a new customer network rapidly. Training and time will be given to absorb such material, but the ability to learn and adapt quickly is a must
  • Strong academic background - a Bachelor's degree or related IT qualifications would be highly desirable but not essential
  • HQ in Chertsey (Surrey) 3 days per week based with occasional travel to client sites in or around London during secondments
  • Valid UK driving licence is essential.
The role is 9.00am

  • 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Engineers will also work on a rotating out of hours / oncall basis.
