We are recruiting a
SkillsFacilitator/Broker (Business toBusiness )to join our team at Education Development Trust, working on the North East Ambition programme.


Location:
Hybrid working across the North East with access to our regional office in Gateshead


Salary:
starting salary is £30,654 per annum 37hrs per week, part time considered), Fixed Term Contract Position

What is North East Ambition?


The North East Ambition programme supports SMEs across the North East to link more effectively with local and national skills initiatives.

We are looking for someone who wants to join our team to help businesses in the North East grow through finding theright skills, training and people for their business.


What does the role entail?

  • Generating your own leads through engaging with Small, Micro and Medium Size businesses in the North East LEP area
  • Finding out what their business plans and goals are and what challenges they are facing
  • Brokering the right skills solution and supporting the businesses through the process


There is an in-depth three-week induction for this role and a supportive team to continue your development and journey in both the North East Ambition programme and Ed Dev Trust.

The post may involve working in more than one location and there will be travel involved. It may be necessary on occasion for the post holder to work outside of standard office hours.


Business development is a key part of this role and would suit someone that thrives working to specific targets whilst offering a quality service to SMEs.


Person specification:


Essential Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of business development and engagement
  • Experience of building relationships and working with a range of partners and stakeholders
  • Understanding and effective use of Information Technology, using a database to record interactions, administrative and workload management skills
  • Experience of working to and being measured on targets
