We are looking for 4 Apprentices to work at Nissan Technical Centre Europe based in Cranfield, Bedfordshire.

Nissan are on a mission to electrify our vehicle product range, this is an opportunity to be part of an exciting time for the Nissan brand in the move to Electric Vehicles and also part of something bigger, a greener and more sustainable future.


We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious people to join our dynamic Test Services team within the Research and Development function of Nissan.

You will be joining Nissan's comprehensive training scheme in the vehicle & component Test Services team, with the aim of becoming a key part of a team of technicians and its management to influence the greener vehicles for a sustainable future.


The scheme combines first-hand involvement in the Nissan state-of-the-art vehicle design & development process together with formal training as you will be enrolled on a Level 4 Engineering Apprenticeship with Milton Keynes College.

The apprenticeship will give a broad insight into the Design & Development process within the organisation through on the job training and work based learning in multiple test sections including Engines, Electric Vehicle Motor testing, Emissions, Vehicle Body and Chassis, Electrical, ADAS (Advanced driver-assistance systems), NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness), Aerodynamics, whilst also being involved in dynamic vehicle testing at proving ground test track facilities.

Key opportunities for learning include instrumentation, fabrication, calibration, vehicle builds and teardowns, test facility set-up + static and dynamic testing.


It is a well-established and highly respected scheme, with many former test services Apprentices now working in Senior Test and Engineering roles within Nissan.

Beyond completion of the apprenticeship, endless opportunities exist to the most ambitious of individuals.... overseas travel, continued personal development, growth to management levels and a route into Design or Test Engineering to name a few


What you'll need to be successful in the role:

  • 1 A Level or 2 AS Levels at grade 5, a level 3 Engineering qualification or some relevant work experience for example as a technician or apprentice technician
  • A full UK Drivers Licence or you can demonstrate a commitment to get your licence by the end of 202
  • You're keen to learn and enjoy a challenge.
  • A good communicator, building and maintaining great working relationships is vital.
  • Determination to succeed.
  • An interest in vehicles, engineering, automotive technology, and desire to work in a handson role.

  • Salary starting at £18,67
  • Based in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, MK43 0DB; 4 days per week.
