Join the team at the Little Green Boat Company in the Lammas Park, Staines-upon Thames. Become a key part of our wonderful crew We are looking for committed and enthusiastic individuals to fill the position of boat hirer for our self
- driven rowing and motor boats.


We may be biased, but we believe we have the best summer jobs going Outdoors in the sun, working by the side of the River Thames.


Working responsibilities:


  • Provide exceptional customer service to boat renters.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and daily maintenance of the boat fleet.
  • Handling frequent transactions and deposits.
  • To give thorough, detailed safety briefings to every renter reinforcing the rules of the river
making sure they have a fun and safe experience

  • Mooring and securing the boats at the end of the day and completing necessary checks.
  • Provide details about our pricing, boat capacities and rental times.
  • To maintain safety standards on and around the river, for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Reporting any faults or damages straight away to the boat's team manager.

Personal skills and qualities:


  • Desire to learn in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills talking to strangers confidently.
  • Interest in the river and safe boating/ water activities.
  • Talk to customers and inform them about the company, what we do, pricing and give suggestions to what boat will be most suitable for them.
  • Smile We believe that working at TLGBC is amazing Being happy and friendly is a crucial component of customer service and making our customers feel welcome.
  • A positive 'can do' attitude.

Job requirements:


  • Availability to work throughout the
    school summer holidays, weekdays, weekends and bank holidays

  • Previous knowledge/ experience of boating is desirable but not essential. All required training will be provided.

Hours & Contract Type:


  • Contract length: 6 months
  • Schedule: 10 hour shift, 9 hour shift
  • Work Location: In person
