Avery Knight was Founded in the city of Bath in 1972 specialising in Tools, Fixings and materials for the Building and Engineering trades.

The business has expanded steadily, mainly upon its reputation for prompt and efficient service.

We are known for our wide ranging stocks of engineering steel, non-ferrous metals, beams, a range of fixings & fasteners, plus all kinds of engineering accessories.

We also offer a fabrication service and manufactured parts.

We are looking for a self-motivated person who works well within a team to fill the following vacancy:

DRIVER/WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
Delivering to customers and collecting from suppliers generally in Wiltshire, Somerset, Bath and Bristol. Occasional deliveries outside these areas when needs arise. Will need to prepare the daily manifest for the following days deliveries.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities

Duties to include regular light, medium and heavy lifting
Assist with loading/unloading of Company vehicles as per Company procedures and processes
Assist Customer/Staff with Customer orders and queries
To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work

Hours are:
7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday

7.30am to 3.30pm Friday

with 1 hour for lunch

Holidays 20 days per calendar year + bank holidays & Xmas Shutdown

Forklift licence would be an advantage, but not essential.
