Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Health and Safety Advisor to work across Corby and Kettering.
This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £ £30.00 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).
The role:
Operating within a business partnering model, Health and Safety Adviser is seen as a senior role and to run alongside our compliance team.
Will work closely with Housing repairs and maintenance front line team leaders, repairs officers, in providing professional advice and challenge on the full range of Health and Safety matters.
The Advisor will also support the implementation of health and safety policies and safety management systems so that our workers and customers (including employees, volunteers, contractors, agency staff, residents, and visitors), are adequately protected from harm as a result of operational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, lead and facilitate the development of health and safety policies, guidance, procedures and other tools to assist the organisation in the implementation of health and safety strategies, plans and policies.
- Contribute to the provision of a competent client focussed health and safety wellbeing advisory service to Stakeholders to secure compliance with the relevant Health and Safety Policies and Safety Management System, applicable legal requirements, and best practice standards.
- Support and advise colleagues to enable them to fulfil their health and safety related roles and responsibilities.
- Support the delivery of health and safety training, briefings, and presentations to ensure that managers and workers have the necessary competence to fulfil their health and safety responsibilities.
- Consult with and coordinate activities, as necessary, with other members of the Housing Property services team, to ensure that managers are competently supported and advised and that services are provided in a timely manner.
Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: A degree within a relevant field.

Experience: Proven H&S knowledge and experience within a local authority with a good understanding of risk management initiatives and wellbeing issues.

Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and references covering the last 3 years.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
