Our client is a well-established company that has been trading for over 20 years who have the most unique steel product range in the UK with the most advance technology and machinery to develop their business.

My client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer,who can bring their knowledge and skillset as a laser maintenance engineer to a fast pace growing business.


Job Details

  • Carry out planned and preventative Laser Maintenance Engineer task in accordance with the maintenance plan.
  • Build strong key relationships with Department managers and shop floor operatives through clear concise communication.
  • Be proactive in your approach to problems and subsequent counter measures.
  • Follow all health and safety legislation and company rules when undertaking the role.
  • To carry out all duties within the scope of the Company mission and values and to support and encourage practices to meet this end.
  • To carry out work in a safe manner, following correct procedure.
  • To ensure all breakdowns are kept to a minimum.
  • To follow best mechanical and electrical engineering practices.
  • To ensure all planned work is completed with mínimal disruption to production.
  • Ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest standards both from yourself and others within the laser maintenance team.
  • Carry out work to the highest standard and have pride in your work.
  • To log all work carried out on maintenance system.
  • Own critical spares and ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • All parts used or replaced are to be logged.
  • To report any potential problems Plant Manager and Laser Production Manager
  • To assist in improvement projects within Laser department and general factory.

Qualifications

  • City and Guilds or BTEC in an engineering discipline and or Time served.
  • Electrical knowledge for circuitry and fault finding.
  • PC skills for maintenance system and for Machine operation systems.
  • Worked within a manufacturing environment with precision machinery.
  • Basic mechanical engineering and laser maintenance engineer knowledge.
  • Fault finding within mechanical and electrical environment.
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of machinery electrical and electronic circuits and systems.
  • Training on and with current machinery and plant will be given during probation period and support from all team members will be offered to allow successful transition into business.
  • Training for further specific jobrelated tasks that require training will be offered once probation period has been successfully passed.

  • Mon-Fri 8.00am pm (1hour unpaid paid lunch)
