Cataloguing Archivist - £14.91 per hour (including holidays) - 6 weeks - Central London (Onsite)

Job Purpose:

  • To appraise, sort and list the archive of Anthony Lester, Baron Lester of Herne Hill, to create an online catalogue for the collection.

Main Duties:


  • Appraise the collection using existing lists as a guide
  • Create an ISAD(G) compliant catalogue for the collection
  • Repackage the collection
  • Arrange disposal of appraised material
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process the collection for transfer to offsite storage.

Skillset required:


  • Experience of appraising, sorting and cataloguing archive collections to international standards (ISAD(G))
  • Experience of using archive cataloguing software e.g. CALM
  • Recognized qualification in Archive Administration
