up to £26,000.00

Property Inspector

  • Full-Time, Permanent, Up to £26,000 depending on experience plus, Company car and fuel card_


We are looking to recruit a Property Inspector to deliver a high quality housing management service providing temporary accommodation for vulnerable adults including the homeless.

You'll Support other projects including Shared Ownership and Affordable Housing around Yorkshire and Humberside.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day to day housing management support to tenants in designated management patch
  • Being responsible for moving tenants into properties and showing them how to use all equipment and utilities in the property and go through health and safety information.
  • Undertake regular property inspections and tenancy audits
  • To maintain accurate up to date IT records on all caseloads.
  • Work with local authorities collaboratively and support any tenancy related issues
  • To liaise with local authority partners in dealing with nominations, lettings and day to day management issues as may arise including attending joint visits
  • An understanding of property maintenance and ability to deal with disrepair issues that may arise
  • To negotiate repair requests with Landlords.
  • To serve appropriate legal notices on tenants and attend evictions as required.
  • To provide excellent customer service at all times
  • To be responsible for identifying breaches of the tenancy agreement and taking appropriate action to resolve those breaches as amicably as possible or being responsible for liaising with the correct authorities to deal effectively with the problem.
  • An understanding of property maintenance and ability to deal with disrepair issues that may arise
  • To negotiate repair requests with property owners.
  • To serve appropriate legal notices on tenants and attend evictions as required.
You will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills and a really positive "can do" approach.

Applicants should possess a full driving license with the ability to carry out property visits within the region
