About the Role


The NHS Cadets project is being delivered by St John Ambulance (SJA) to young people from communities currently underrepresented within the NHS.

Target groups include young people who at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), young carers, young people involved in the care system, young people from BAME communities and those who would not automatically consider a career in the NHS.

The NHS project includes opportunities to participate in social action projects and to volunteer within their local NHS trust.


This role will support the development of St John Ambulance's work with volunteers and young people specifically the NHS cadet's programme.

As a project assistant for NHS Cadets you will be joining an experienced and passionate team supporting the Project Manager and Regional Leads to contribute to the development and implementation of this exciting, never been done before project.


You will be working with us to achieve ambitious targets and working towards empowering young people who would not otherwise have been able to pursue health volunteering.

You will get a chance to utilise your creative and innovative ideas when supporting the project


About You


You will have experience of working with young people and volunteers as well as working on several conflicting tasks, and have experience of working remotely and supporting remote teams.

You should have strong communications skills and be able to work well as part of a team.
