An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Scott Polar Research Institute and Museum (SPRI) as a permanent part-time Personal Assistant (PA) & Events Coordinator.


The hours for this role are split between acting as PA to our Institute Director (0.5) and as Events Coordinator (0.3) for the Institute.

As PA you will support the Institute Director in their work and help to keep SPRI running smoothly.

This varied role will include diary management, drafting correspondence, making travel arrangements, preparing meeting documents and taking minutes for institute committee meetings chaired by the Director.

In addition, you will support general Institute operations and organise annual tasks such as collating and editing information for the annual SPRI Review.

As Events Coordinator you will support the delivery of a variety of small scale private and public events hosted by SPRI during the course of the Academic Year.

These could including conferences, seminars, exhibition launches, academic workshops and fundraising events which take place during working hours and on very rare occasions, evenings and weekends.

You be the first point of contact for event queries and will also help publicise them on the Institute's webpages and social media.

Then, with the Institute Administrator, you will coordinate the planning, marketing and delivery of these events, liaising with our Library and Museum teams where necessary.
