About the role:
We are seeking a skilled machine operator with extensive knowledge of CNC turning lathe and other specialised machinery used in a variety of industries including factory production.
Reporting to the company Directors, the role will involve following the production of high-quality units from drawings to finished product ensuring quality control while maximising output.
Specific training will be given to achieve success in this role.Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain spinning machines and lathes.
- Review drawings, instructions, blueprints and samples to ensure accurate production.
- Ensure efficient running of production to maximise efficiency and profits.
- Supply raw material or parts to semiautomated machinery.
- Take precise measurements for cutting/shaping.
- Check output to identify flaws and resolve arising issues.
- Machine testing, monitoring and adjusting.
- Preparation of machinery for production cycles.
- Performing calibrations, cleaning and other activities.
- Test operations and machines periodically.
- Maintain records and activity log.
An excellent team player with the ability to work under your own initiative, you will have the following skills:
- Proven experience as a machine operator.
- Ability to program CNC lathe.
- Working knowledge of diverse highspeed machinery and measuring tools (capiler, micrometer etc).
- Understanding of production procedures
- Ability to read and interpret, drawings, blueprints, schematics and manuals.
- Working use of a variety of hand tools.
- Analytical skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Adhere to Health and Safety legislation.
- Other responsibilities as required by the company.
- GCE English, Maths.
- High School Diploma or equivalent Technical Degree.
