As a Virtual Test Planning Lead, you'll establish trusting relationships with engineering teams and be part of the Engineering Operations Organisation which is JLR's centre of excellence for simulation and digital vehicle engineering.
The Virtual Test Planning Lead is responsible for generating, managing and delivering the virtual design verification plan (DVP) for CAD and CAE assessments at a vehicle / attribute level.
You will be part of a collaborative, iterative and agile team of engineers helping to deliver best in class digital solutions to the business and its customers.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities- Engaging with the engineering and attribute teams to plan and manage virtual test delivery for CAD and CAE assessments at a vehicle level
- Ensure virtual tests are completed on time for the key programme milestones
- Coordinating key CAE model build activities which are required for virtual tests
- Planning, organising and chairing key programme meetings, communicating status/outcomes at showcase and gateway events
- Management of virtual test metrics (KPIs)
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Essential:
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas
- Analytical and problemsolving skills in approaching technical issue resolution
- Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience of project management, planning and delivery is essential
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
