The Role:


We currently have a vacancy within the team for a Commissioning and Social Care Officer Grade - Full time 37 hours per week 18 months fixed term contract.


Warrington Borough Council's Families and Wellbeing Commissioning & Contracting Team is dedicated to commissioning, procuring and contracting a range of adult and children social care services.


The role of the Children's Commissioning Team is to source, secure and quality assure quality external accommodation and outreach support for children with additional needs, children in care and care leavers.


The Contracts & Commissioning team is an extremely busy but supportive, collaborative team where effective communication is essential, commitment to providing a quality service and has an influential role in delivering improvements in the standards and quality of children's social care services and contracts commissioned by the Council.


You will need to enjoy working in a busy and fast-paced environment with competing projects and deadlines, leading on complex cases and / or supporting other team members, engaging social workers and children's social care service providers to ensure the provision of high quality services and positive outcomes for each child / young person.
