Do you have any prior experience dealing with children in a caring setting?

If so, look no further Randstad is searching for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work in and around Preston.

This role would be suitable for an individual who holds experience with Y6 and wishes to work closely with 2 SEN children with learning needs.

An SEN teaching assistant is a highly rewarding role, which requires patience and understanding of specific needs - qualifications are desired but not essential Ideally, we are looking for someone with excellent transferable skills, who is passionate about working with children.


Roles include:

  • Supporting student's physical, social and emotional wellbeing
  • Working as part of a team
  • Being able to communicate well with children, manage their behaviour and resolve issues in the classroom
  • Mentoring and guiding students requiring extra support
  • Listening, discussing and explaining

Requirements:

  • Experience working or volunteering with SEN pupils
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to get one)
  • Knowledge of the curriculum
  • Have the desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and or behavioural management needs
