Service Charge Accountant - SW London (SW15) c£45k (QUBE)

My client is a long established firm of Chartered Surveyors providing wide ranging property consultancy services across Prime SW and Central London.

Within their Block Management Service Charge Accounting Team, an experienced well rounded Service Charge Accountant (ideally from independent practice) is required as follows:

Using QUBE to raise charges and demands via prompts from automatic reporting produced weekly.
Monthly Bank Reconciliations on Qube.

Reporting

SC Year end Audit Packs, Owner Statements, Debtors, Bank statement, Bank recs etc.
To load budgets and charges via instruction received from Property Managers.
Monitor all cash balances, moving service charge/rent funds to correct accounts.
Updating and maintaining the property management accounting systems and other databases
Ensuring new suppliers meet the required criteria and setting them up on QUBE, ensuring that the database is kept up to date (e.g. chasing PI insurance upon expiry and not paying invoices until received)
Liaising with leaseholders and clients regarding service charge and rental accounting queries, ensuring that they are logged on Qube and updated through to closure.

The suitable service charge accountant will need 2+ years' service charge / block management accounting experience alongside strong IT skills (QUBE exposure would be beneficial but isn't essential), a stable career history and a can-do, quality focused attitude.

Initially this role will be office based but eventually will include some hybrid working.

The successful Service Charge Accountant can expect a starting basic salary up to £45k with regular reviews and uplifts based on performance, tenure and responsibility.
