Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (4:30pm Friday) with 1 hour lunchbreak

Salary of £27k depending on experience.

Overall Responsibilities include:


Job brief

  • Dealing with existing customer enquiries and processing their orders
  • Assisting all members of the team with technical queries
  • Researching markets and identifying new potential customers


We are looking for a confident mannered Technical Sales and Customer Service person to proactively identify and develop new sales leads and market opportunities, as well as responding to and managing existing customers.

technical support will be required by other members of the sales team both in the UK and globally.


Sales to B2C customers will require listening to their requirements and guiding them through the product range on the website and the steps of identifying the best solution to meet their needs.


Sales to B2B customers will require an analysis of their existing product usage and identification of the most appropriate alternatives.

Research to identify new potential customers, identify their current usage, future needs and provide quotations to win new business.

Facilitate and arrange meetings and site visits to significant potential customers and customers with any technical issues.


Responsibilities

  • To develop the skills to negotiate on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers and liaise with suppliers to check the progress of existing orders.
  • Record sales and order information onto Sage and sending copies to the warehouse, or entering figures into a computer system
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions and customer visits
  • Feed future market opportunities and buying trends back to employers
  • Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues.
  • The goal is to support the timely, costeffective and profitable completion of customer orders.
  • Keep accurate records
  • Taking general administrative calls in a busy office environment

Requirements:


  • Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings
  • Minimum five years customer service / sales related experience OR experience in technical or ideally engineered products or services
  • Ability to understand technical specifications of material and products
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Wellorganized with multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency (C1 level) in another language (preferably nonEuropean) desirable
  • Confident in general IT use and standard Microsoft packages
  • Experience of Sage desirable
  • Full driving license. No agencies, please
