Mitie has a great opportunity for an experienced Operations Supervisor in
Manchester.

You will be contracted to
60 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although some evenings and weekend work may be required.

You will report to the contracts Operations Manager.


Key Role Descriptors


The role holder will contribute to the goals of the team through the provision of high quality and responsive security service and provide day to day management of staff to ensure high standards of service delivery.


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for pro-active operational service delivery and employee performance on the contract.

This will involve working with the Operations Manager and sharing best practice to ensure uniformity across the contract.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL BE TO:


  • Deliver the Our Manchester strategy message throughout the MCC estate establishing the desired culture and understanding throughout.
  • Completion of induction process for new starters
  • To ensure site training is delivered in line with contractual obligations set out within the agreed SLA's
  • Ensure that holiday and sickness are managed in association with the appropriate processes through the businesses' management process.
  • To ensure rosters are planned in advance
  • To conduct welfare visits with security officers on the contract
  • To ensure all officers are wearing correct uniform, carrying a Mitie ID and have their SIA Licence visible
  • To Conduct Security Officer Return to Work Interviews and update the HR portal
  • To assist in the recruitment drive for new security officers
  • To ensure Assignment Instructions and Site Instructions are regularly reviewed and updated accordingly
  • To be the main point of contact between the frontline team and the wider Mitie service delivery teams who will support the contract
  • The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager with the operational delivery of the Manchester City Council contract and customer requirements.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a customer facing fieldbased role.
  • Good understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of public sector requirements preferable.
  • Previous experience in an integrated security service delivery role.
  • Demonstrable skills in people management and development.
  • Ability to work methodically whilst remaining flexible.
  • High standard of numeracy and literacy.
