About the role


This is a new role offering exciting opportunities to interact with and impact some of the world's leading online grocery retail businesses.

The Head of Retail Media and Monetisation will be responsible for supporting our partners with improving their monetisation strategies, and fully leveraging the tools available within our platform to support a robust retail media programme.


You will consult with partners through both in-depth projects, and ongoing optimisation forums aimed at improving their overall monetisation performance.

You will inspire partners and build strong relationships, share learnings, and leverage data to enable our partners to succeed.

This is an entrepreneurial role, and requires someone who is comfortable identifying new opportunities, and setting up new programs and services that deliver value to our partners.

The role will be based in Ocado's head office in Hatfield min train from Central London) for 2 days per week and will involve UK and international travel on a regular basis.


Accountabilities

  • Accountable for building and delivering a strategy to help partners improve their retail media and monetisation strategy
  • Analyse and audit partner's performance within this area, identify areas of improvement and deliver actionable recommendations partners can implement within their organizations
  • Help develop consulting services and programs that can support partners with strategic challenges. Define the resource and model required to provide impactful consulting to partners within your area
  • Build playbooks that can serve as useful resources to partners at various stages of their growth journey
  • Become a thought partner to our OSP partners, help inspire them with trends, best practice within the retail media and monetisation space
  • Help new partners develop strong go to market strategies, addressing team structure, pricing, supplier engagement, reporting
  • Work with analytics team to deliver meaningful insights to partners and internal stakeholders that measure and show the value of retail media/ supplier funded initiatives
  • You will become a master of all the relevant OSP features that can support retail media, and you will ensure partners are fully utilizing these features to drive their goals

About you

  • Ideally 7+ years experience in retail media working for a grocer or CPG brand, or experience in a digital advertising/marketing role within a retail media agency
  • Experience building and delivering a go to market strategy within retail media
  • Deep understanding of the industry including clientoperating models, technology, and media formats
  • Understanding of and ideally experience executing data monetisation initiatives as part of a retail media programme
  • Demonstrated ability to drive commercial impact within a business
  • Insideout knowledge of programmatic advertising, digital KPIs, and ad management tools
  • BA/BSc degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Highly analytical, able to use data to drive insights and recommendations for partners
  • Highly commercial, able to identify biggest wins for our partners to focus on to improve growth and profitability
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to external partners and senior audiences, particularly within an international context
  • Subject matter expertise within your domain, ability to draw on previous experiences to train and support partners
  • Good at building relationships and managing stakeholders, able to build trust and strong ways of working with our partners
  • Selfstarting, able to identify and pursue areas of opportunity in a new environment
  • Ability to express complex ideas in a clear, coherent and concise manner
  • A passion for Marketing. Up to date on the industry, digital platforms, and changes as they roll out
