This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join the Barnsley community learning disability team.

As the Specialist Speech and Language Therapist you will provide specialist speech and language therapy for service users with a learning disability who are in receipt of care from community services.

You will be an integral member of our friendly and welcoming multi-disciplinary team.


You will have a person-centred, holistic approach to your practise and will be committed to providing high quality care for every patient.

You will be actively involved in the promotion of Speech and Language Therapy within the service area.

The post holder will also contribute to the leadership and development of the Specialist Learning Disability Health Team in accordance with local and national guidance.

As the Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will contribute to staff training and the training of student Speech and Language Therapists.
