Bid Manager

Location:
Manchester & Home Based (Hybrid)


Salary F
ull:
£40-45k basic per annum, with an OTE of £50k & Car or Car Allowance, Fuel Card, Mobile Phone, Laptop plus generous package


Bid / Tenders Manager:


Due to an extraordinary period of growth my client is currently experiencing and is continuing to forecast, the need for a Bid / Tenders Manager has arisen in the business to the source, complete & deliver the Company's maintenance bid activity, from the point of formal tender notice to contract closure and handover to operations, managing a dedicated team.


Responsibilities:


The Bid Manager will assist in the development of all sector and service line business development campaigns and will support in delineating best practices throughout the Company and Division.

The Department plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the Company's growth:


  • Be responsible for implementing, overseeing, and enforcing the Bid Management Process
  • Support in the continuous development of the Bid Department, to generate more efficient ways of working and increase the success
  • Undertake market intelligence and competitor analysis projects to ensure competitiveness is maintained across Service contracts.
  • Monitor and utilise company standardised reporting to establish key indicators, vertical sector trends and profitability
  • Manage a team to effectively deliver the Company bid activity. Providing training and 121 support as required for their development.
  • Define and disseminate bid best practices on industry and regional level to the Company and Division
  • Work alongside all key stakeholders to win new business and successfully retain existing maintenance contracts through retenders and renewals
  • Generate effective, bespoke costing models to secure opportunities
  • Attend interviews and presentations in support of bids
  • Provide support and guidance to the wider Sales, Account Management and Operational Teams
