Our Client is one of the UK's leading resource management, recycling, and energy recovery companies.

With a rich history of working in the UK since the 1800s, we operate one of the UK's largest and most efficient Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities.


The Role:


The role will create and manage a methodology for monitoring the progress and performance of the Company's programmes of works, ensuring, and improving corporate efficiency and successful completion of the Group ambitions, whilst contributing to the Group'sstrategic planning and target setting.


The scope will include:

  • Working with Executive Leadership Team and Shareholders to agree projects and project targets / objectives
  • Providing strategic advice on the management of projects and matters of strategy
  • Monitoring the performance of projects against times lines and objectives
  • Report to the ELT, Shareholders and other external stakeholders, including customers, regulators and Government) on relevant matters
  • Ensure Company quality standards are met
  • Monitoring subcontractors to ensure guidelines / progress are maintained
  • Having visibility of the accounting, costing and billing of relevant projects to ensure performance
  • Having direct responsibility for ad hoc projects as required, including but not limited to Company wide initiatives smaller acquisitions

Experience Required:

  • At least 5 years previous experience of project management
  • Post graduate qualification (i.e MBA or other professional qualification)
  • Influencing skills
  • Team Player
  • Working to strict deadlines
