SANZA Teaching Agency are seeking to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant to work within a Primary Provision for Autism, who deliver the National Curriculum.

Are you a graduate, seeking a move into Special Educational Needs? Would you like to work in a small team, take on additional training and work with the national curriculum, supporting children with additional needs?

  • No prior teaching, educational training / qualification necessary.
  • Full training and guidance will be provided. Experience of working with young people is desirable.

What the role involves:


The role involves working as a Primary Teaching Assistant delivering a very
CREATIVE KS1 or KS2 curriculum within a maximum class size of between 6 and 10 pupils working alongside an experienced team of Teaching Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists.


School

  • 1 form Entry Primary School in Brent
  • Provision for Autism however,
    they follow the national curriculum they are a small school which aims to provide a family atmosphere where pupils and families feel supported
  • They have a holistic approach to the child's learning journey. Usually they look for someone who, academic, creative, and nurturing towards the children.
  • Every day the entire school staff have a briefing at 8.45am to set plans for that day.
  • Children arrive to school on allocated buses, usually from 9am. From 9am children will go into class and learn their topics for the day.
  • Children are encouraged to form positive relationships, to take responsibility and transition from KS2 into secondary education.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Working closely with our Head of SEN, Speech & Language Therapists and other experienced teaching professionals providing support and guidance, your role will be to:
  • implement personalised learning programmes with individual students / groups in or outside lessons
- enhance the provision for students by taking responsibility for specific long-term projects or short-term learning activities
- support teachers in monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupil achievement, progress and development.

  • Working with small groups of students
  • Working one to one with students as required
