With continually evolving regulatory requirements, easyJet is in pursuit of an effective leader to Head their Financial Control framework, to strengthen our position on overall controls.
This position will be at the centre of software development in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and will involve collaborating with senior management to drive instrumental change.
Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting and Controls, you will be responsible for one direct report.The role is focused on identifying and mitigating emerging risks across the business through the development of a controls framework.
The role requires interaction at a senior level and hands-on involvement in designing and implementing control solutions.The role holder will need to establish a broad network of relationships across the business and be a go-to specialist on financial control matters.
What you'll need to do the role
The role is focused on establishing a framework for identifying and managing financial risks across easyJet's diverse range of activities, by chairing monthly Risk and Control Governance Forums with key stakeholders.
It involves collaborating with operational staff to proactively manage all finance risk attributes, ensuring they align with the firm's risk appetite.
The role holder will provide an informed and independent financial risk perspective and guidance, including a challenge to operational stakeholders on large change projects such as system implementations, transactions, transformation initiatives, new business activities, new regulations, and new accounting standards.
They will own the financial control framework and methodology, ensuring it is clearly defined and appropriate controls are in place.
The role also involves coaching best practices across the business, supporting the Finance function in enhancing processes and controls through continuous process improvement and innovation, facilitating the delivery of the annual statutory audit and internal audit reviews, as required, and debating and agreeing on control recommendations with internal and external auditors.
Key Requirements
Experience within the technology space and a track record of digital enablement in transforming financial processes is also preferred.
You should be a commercially-focused blue-sky thinker with ideas around how to improve the current setup and a track record in driving operational bottom-line value.
If you have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to lead multiple workstreams and counterparties to deliver all projects and report to deadlines, while building personal credibility then this is the role for youRequirements of the Role
