The Client:


Our client are one of the leading Facilities Management (FM) companies in the UK, providing Lightning Protection, Electronic Surge Protection, Power Earthing and Specialist Access Services.


They have an exciting vacancy for an
adult learner/trainee Lightning Conductor fitter to work alongside their existing Lightning Protection Installations team to learn and become a lightning conductor fitter through on-site Assessment Training in the West Midlands / South West region.


The Role:


The works will involve the installation and upgrade of lightning protection systems on buildings and structures in line with BSEN62305 across a variety of sites.


They require the applicant to live in the Tamworth or Bristol area.

Essential:


  • Full Drivers Licence
  • CSCS Card
  • Upon successful completion of the On Site Assessment and Training(OSAT), you will receive an NVQ qualification which requires training in the following:
  • Lightning Protection materials & components
  • Lightning Protection standards and working regulations
  • Safe use of hand tools, Ladders
  • Application of fall restraint systems and full body harnesses
  • Working at Height awareness
  • Use of abrasive wheels


  • IPAF

  • Mobile Elevated Working Platform


  • PASMA

  • Scaffold tower erecting and dismantling


  • SSSTS

  • Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme
