We are excited to be recruiting to our Contract's Officers post within the Adults directorate to assist us in delivering
the organisations' mission of improving health and care outcomes for the people of Manchester.

The MLCO has been established by its partners: NHS Manchester CCG, Manchester City Council, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester Mental Health Service NHS Trust and Manchester Primary Care Partnership to integrate, plan and manage community health and social care across the City.

Opportunity/Role
This exciting opportunity will focus on leading a particular service area within adult social care, working with Social workers, citizens, voluntary sector organisations and care providers in delivering the best care and outcomes for our citizens.
Along with supporting our front line services, you can expect professional development and new experiences to support future career progression.
This role is 35hrs per week, Monday to Friday working on a flexible basis as well as hybrid working arrangements.
There is plenty of opportunity for training and development in drafting, negotiating and managing contracts as well as being the focal point for a large portfolio of services supporting some of our most vulnerable people in society.
The post-holder will need to:
- Be solutions focused and embraces the unknown through resilience and a positive mindset
- Be enthusiastic, personable and passionate about helping people live their best lives possible
- Be keen to learn and develop oneself to meet the challenges and opportunities facing Manchester's public sector.
- Have experience of drafting and managing contracts, ideally in a public sector setting.
- Hold personal integrity and be passionate about their standards of work.
- Be highly organised & efficient to contribute to the success of the role and other projects, gathering information and undertaking enquiries as and when necessary,
- Be confident in a range of communication skills to correspond with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure commitment to a high level of customer service and reputation of the team.
