Description
Fleet Presentation Supervisor

Working from our Stansted Airport depot, you will oversee a small team of cleaners, working alongside them to keep our fleet of buses and coaches in the very best condition.

You will also be responsible for completing exterior washes and vehicle shunting yourself.

This role may also involve some driving of buses and minibuses, so applicants without a PSV (Category D) driving licence will need to be willing to obtain one through our in-house training school.

The Fleet Presentation Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles at Stansted Airport depot are appropriately cleaned (internally), washed, topped up with fuel and fluids and then parked in accordance with the Depot Parking Plan.

Your main day to day duties will be:

  • Oversee the activities of cleaners, and spare drivers when assigned to assist cleaning and shunting, ensuring that they are working efficiently and in line with Vectare standards and delivering a high quality of output.
  • Use mechanical washing equipment to wash the exterior of buses and coaches, supplemented with manual washing tecniques as required.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are correctly parked in their assigned bay, having due regard for operational and engineering requirements, in liaison with the Head of Commercial, Head of Operation, Operations Manager and Depot Supervisor(s) as appropriate.
  • Ensure that vehicle fuel, screenwash and AdBlue levels are topped up daily, on both the bus and coach fleet and the support car / van fleet.
  • Ensure that every vehicle has the correct promotional leaflets on board for the route(s) it will be operating the following day, based on the following day's Allocation.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks such as displaying or removing onboard posters, updating vehicle systems using USB sticks and other similar activities.
  • Promptly report to Engineering or the Service Delivery Centre any defect or damage on a vehicle, so that this can be logged and rectified as required.
  • Ensure that Vehicle Deep Cleans are completed as scheduled, to the required standard, and that this is logged in accordance with Vectare processes.
  • Inspect each vehicle daily for bodywork damage, vinyl damage and other deviations from fleet presentation standards, and log any issues with photographic evidence so that this can be rectified.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that health and safety protocols applicable to the cleaning and shunting process are followed at all times.
In addition to the above, the postholder is expected to undertake driving duties as required.

This may include empty bus movements between depots / other locations, pre-planned and emergency rail replacement work and occasional cover of local bus service work in the event of breakdowns / disruption / staff illness.
