Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for the next step in your career?

LHH are recruiting for a growing professional services company based in Derby.


The Management Accountant will be responsible for the delivery of all Management Accounting and Back office support work carried out by the Shared Services team.

This comprises of Management Accounts, forecasting, cash flows, Interim CFO, VAT returns, CISreturns and Bookkeeping support, as well as advising clients on all aspects of the day-to-day financial administration of their businesses.

This will involve marketing to our existing client base, with support from the senior leadership team.


The Management Accountant will be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified accountant with 5 year's experience and a proven track record in successfully training colleagues.


The Management Accountant will work closely with the Client Services Manager to ensure client needs are met and the Shared Services team are both efficient and pro active in delivery of services to clients.


Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for delivery of the following service lines:
  • Back office support
  • CIS returns
  • Interim CFO work
  • Management accounts
  • VAT returns
  • Developing the structure and delivery of the above mentioned service lines, including:
  • Pricing the services, using metrics of work involved
  • Reviewing of the management accounts with the client
  • Onboarding of new clients to the relevant service lines
  • Monitoring and reporting on costings of the service lines
  • Initially, this will include the physical preparing of certain Management reports on a number of clients
  • Create appropriate and standardised control packs
  • Suggest improvements to clients systems and processes where relevant
  • Ensuring client expectations are met in terms of what they want to see and when they want to see it
  • Building and maintaining of client relationships
  • Training team members
  • Working with the Client Services Manager to help onboard & train new employees
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Supporting internally to deliver on client expectations
  • Ownership & development of accounting & bookkeeping software systems

Skills and Knowledge

  • ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • Excellent customer relationship management and interpersonal skills
