About the role
Within Network Expansion we have the ambitious goal of growth though the scaling of a 5 year, £multi-billion expansion programme.
With this in mind, it's a key focus of ours to ensure we've got the right business plan in place to ensure success.
You'll play a pivotal role in our exciting journey, reporting to the Director of Business Strategy (SLT member), collaborating with a number of teams involved in delivering the business plan / quarterly planning process.
This role will be ensuring strategic alignment across multiple VMO2 divisions such as; CTO, CIO, Supply Chain, Procurement (and more)
This role plays a big part in driving, owning, and supervising both Executive Committee and Senior Leadership team level objectives and key results for MD level review, ensuring internal and external data is used to craft and advise effectively.
As our Head of Business Planning, you'll focus heavily on the current 3-year plan to underpin our strategic, financial, and operational goals required for successful delivery.
You'll be putting in place robust measurement and reporting processes to track and assure delivery whilst ensuring it's maintained and monitored throughout.
You'll be required to handle the Network Expansion risk register at Executive Committee / Senior Leadership level whilst also leading, supporting, and developing the Business Planning team with overall responsibility for the business planning capabilities across Network Expansion.
The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Strong experience of financial literacy and financial modelling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, PowerPoint & Excel
- Proven experience of excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building across all levels of an organisation
- Integrity from both a leadership perspective and accuracy of technical and financial/commercial content
- Proven ability to balance both strategic aims and the daytoday operational requirements whilst also decision making for future requirements
We'd also love you to bring;
- Degree qualified or equivalent preferred (e.g., ACA/CIMA)
- Knowledge of the UK Telecoms industry preferred
- Agile approach and able to deal with ambiguity
- Proven track record to work and perform under pressure with challenging demands
