Description

We are looking for an Inspections Team Leader to join a busy inspection department based at BCA Blackbushe site (Camberley). Within your role, you will lead a team of cosmetic / mechanical inspectors, ensuring that vehicles enter and leave the site inspected in accordance with daily program. As an Inspection Team Leader, you will report directly to the Inspection Manager. We are looking for a person with previous experience in a similar role who can lead, supervise and motivate the team.

This location of a BCA is easily accessible from Basingstoke, Guildford, Woking, Farnham, Reading and many more

Our recruitment process will include phone interview with our Talent Acquisition Specialist. This will be followed with an interview with the hiring manager.

Salary:
£33,000 - £37,000 per annum (depending on experience) Overtime paid as time and half


Working Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm


Main purpose of the job:


An experienced team leader, responsible for the personnel carrying out the initial inspection process at remarketing sites prior to transportation of vehicles to refurbishment sites.


Main responsibilities:

Lead the team:

- lead and motivate a team of inspectors, reviewing the daily tasks and ensuring that the team meets the targets and KPI's whilst completing the work required to the highest standards

HR support:

- with the support from Inspection Manager manage staff absences, approve holidays and skill-test potential new starters

Reporting:

- complete daily reports for the Inspection Manager

H&S:

- ensure that your team complies with our Health & Safety regulations


Skills and experience required:


  • Previous team leading / supervisory experience (minimum 2 years) (desirable)
  • Previous experience in inspecting vehicles either cosmetically or mechanically (essential)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of good / bad vehicle "feel" when driving (essential)
  • Ability to use and understand the output from vehicle diagnostic readers (desirable)
  • Own a Full UK Driving Licence
  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office
  • Outlook and Excel
  • Strong communication skills
